First you download the code once, just like installing an app or opening a website. From there, all the work is done by the Chrome, Edge or Brave engine you already have running.
No external server is involved in the processing.
The images you convert, the PDFs you sign, what you dictate with the mic: the code handles them directly on your disk. There is no "upload" or "download" because nothing ever travelled anywhere.
They live in a reserved zone of your own browser, next to your history and bookmarks. If you reset your machine, they disappear with you. There is no backup elsewhere.
